E-Kids is Bank of Essex's exciting new savings account designed to help kids learn how to save and practice good banking habits as they grow.

• E-Kids accounts are available to children up to age 18.
   (At age 18, the account will automatically change to a
   regular statement savings account.)
• The account can be set up as either a Custodial Account
   (VAUTMA) or a Joint Account. The adult opening the
   account will decide how the account is to be titled;
   however, if a Joint Account is elected, the child must be
   at least 10 years old and able to sign his or her name on
   the documents.
• $5 minimum deposit to open; waived minimum balance fee
   for being under $100.
• The same excessive withdrawal guidelines that are currently
   in effect for statement savings accounts also apply on
   this account ($1.00 per withdrawal if more than three
   withdrawals per month).
• No ATM or Debit Cards issued with the E-Kids account.
• The child account holder will be given a piggy bank,
   three-ring statement binder, and coloring book (if age
   appropriate), plus a special wallet-style cover and member-
   ship card at account opening.
